Entitled the ‘special edition of a special edition,’ this special edition of the F1-inspired Lotus Evora GTE will be unveiled at next week’s Geneva Motor Show, with Kimi Raikonnen reportedly doing the honors. The 2007 F1 world champion recently returned to F1 with Lotus, so it makes perfect marketing sense to release a special edition sports car not only inspired by F1 but also unveiled by the former champion. The photos that have hit the net were taken at a recent Lotus test event at Spain’s Jerez circuit and shows the car wearing the black and gold livery of the Lotus F1 team. A wide Lotus insignia features on the rear wing, the alloys are finished in gold, and the car also sports the number ’10′, which will be used by Raikonnen’s teammate Romain Grosjean this season. The model in question is also expected to be joined in Geneva by a convertible Evora. A supercharged 3.5-liter V6 powers the Evora GTE with 444hp going to the rear wheels via a fresh sequential automated manual transmission.
