Although it has to be officially unveiled, Subaru has already announced that its new WRX STI will be making its way to the famed 24 Hours of Nurburgring this coming June. Of course, this race-spec WRX STI won’t exactly be the same one you’ll soon be able to buy in dealers. Competing in the SP3T class, this will be the seventh consecutive year in which Subaru has taken part in the grueling 24 hour long race. It’ll also be the first track appearance for the new WRX STI.
Subaru is also hoping to take home its third victory in this class. Hideharu Tatsumi will return once again as racing team manager, and this year’s drivers will be Toshihiro Yoshida and Kouta Sasaki. An additional two, still unnamed, European drivers will be announced later.
