Brabus CL 800 Coupe Unveiled.

Behold this monstrous Brabus that has been unveiled at the 2011 Dubai Motor Show.

The new Brabus 800 Coupe has debuted at the 2011 Dubai Motor Show claiming to be the world’s fastest and most powerful luxury coupe. Based on the CL 600, the 12-cylinder engine has been significantly re-engineered starting by increasing the displacement from 5.5 to 6.3 liters. This has been achieved using a special crankshaft with a longer stroke, larger cylinder bore and larger forged pistons. The 2 cylinder heads have also been fine-matched for optimized mixture flow and 4 special camshafts have been installed. Brabus have designed a turbocharging system to replace the standard twin-turbo set-up, featuring two custom exhaust manifolds, high-performance turbochargers and a quartet of water-to-air intercoolers. A carbon-fiber ram-air intake integrated into the hood supplies the combustion air, and at the rear a stainless-steel exhaust system boasts free-flow metal catalysts. 800hp and 1047lb-ft of torque (electronically limited to 811lb-ft) is produced by the Brabus Biturbo engine, and the two-door coupe sprints from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds, reaching 124mph in 10.3 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 217mph.

This enormous power is transferred to the rear wheels via a reinforced five-speed auto gearbox, while aerodynamics have been improved via new front & rear spoilers. 18- to 22-inch Brabus Monoblock alloys are available, and a lowering module for the ABC suspension allows the driver to lower the car’s heaight by 25mm with a touch of a button. The fourth-generation Brabus brake system improves the stopping power of the 800 Coupe, and the interior has been smartly upgraded to complement the diamond-white metallic paintwork.

A blend of white leather and black Alcantara, carbon-fiber elements in the cockpit, a new sports steering wheel, and aluminum pedals are the standout interior upgrades. Available as a complete vehicle or built based on any current model, the Brabus 800 Coupe sits well next to the E V12 Cabriolet we featured back in July that is also now at the 2011 Dubai Motor Show.
