A 25-year-old model is accused of crashing a a British-reg classic Ferrari that’s worth Ksh. 60,000,000/- while high on cocaine and driving without a licence and also tried to escape the party island on a private jet belonging to her Londoner boyfriend, it has been reported.
Elif Aksu, and a male companion, believed to be her millionaire Brit boyfriend, were taking the luxury sports car which had British number plates for a spin when she hit a lorry.The couple had taken the luxury black motor out for a spin before the accident at 9pm.
The woman and her boyfriend - a Saudi Arabian living in London - made it as far as the Codolar airport, in the city of Ibiza, in the eastern Spanish region of Balearic Island. According to reports, she hit a lorry causing damage to the bodywork of the Ferrari.
They left the car under the watch of another man, believed to be an employee of the boyfriend. Witnesses heard them talking about a plane and alerted the police who rushed to the airport.
They discovered that a private flight was about to take off on a jet owned by the arrested woman’s boyfriend. But the woman, an Austrian national, was arrested just before she got on his private jet to leave the country.
The flight was stopped and the woman was tested for alcohol and drugs, it was then discovered that she was under the effects of cocaine, reports said.
Police also found she did not have a licence so she was arrested and has now been charged. The woman, a European citizen with a house in the city, was later released to appear at court at a later date.
The man left the island, famous for its nightclubs and summer party season, following the incident.
