Two AP officers died on the spot and their two colleagues injured on Friday night when their car rammed into a stationary trailer near Blue Post Hotel in Thika town, Kiambu county.
Thika traffic staff officer Appeles Chacha said the officers were travelling in a private car from Nairobi heading to Nyeri when the accident occurred at 10:30pm.
The injured were rushed to Thika Level Five Hospital in critical condition.
Chacha said efforts were being made yesterday for the survivors to be transferred to Nairobi for specialised treatment.
