In a span of three days, 6 people have reportedly been abducted and maimed along the Bondo-Kisumu road with the most recent case being on Wednesday.
The abductions are believed to target Probox drivers, given that most of their victims owned a Probox during the time they disappeared.
On Wednesday evening, the body of a middle-aged man was found beheaded and severely mutilated in a thicket around Kombewa region. Curious residents rushed to the scene were dispersed by police officers who had arrived earlier.
Police have since launched an investigation into the ruthless killings which have sent a wave of fear among residents and road users around that area.
