Wizzy, South B’s most popular ma3 (matatu), has finally made a great come back to the South B Route in Nairobi after taking some time out to get a major upgrade.
Now the talk of the city, the 14-seater Wizzy Airways has been branded South B’s plane thanks to its lavish white leathers seats, custom-made 42 LED screens, a VIP section among other appealing features,
Victor Njuguna, the driver, says, “Apart from the silver coating, we spent more than Ksh. 750,000 on the new features to create that ‘airplane feeling’. We no longer waste time at the terminus since passengers book rides in advance”.
He adds that, “People nowadays don’t look at latest registration numbers, but comfort and how they are treated. We also have CCTV cameras, and the names of the driver and the conductor are clearly displayed in the mathree for easy identification”.
