Having taken ownership of a Valencia Orange BMW 1M, it was the mission of IND to install modifications and deliver the car in a mere 48 hours to their BMW M fanatic. As the manufacturer was early to market, parts to be installed were either prototype or specifically selected beginning with removing the original hood and replacing it with Seibon’s power dome equipped carbon-fiber piece. To complement the stunning paintjob, IND added gloss black front & side grilles, eliminating the car’s only chrome trim. A two-piece adjustable front lip and two-piece rear diffuser was provided by RevoZport to give the car some aggressive edge. As a fan of Rogue Engineering short shifters, the client requested one for the 1M. As a result, a one-off pre-production short shifter was made and fitted. Eisenmann’s downpipe-back exhaust system was coupled with Akrapovic downpipes to provide a dramatic power increase, which was further optimized using software by ESS Tuning. IND claims that the 1M is now an ‘outight rocket’ but no specific data as to sprint times and top speed was revealed. Finishing touches included a color-coded Valencia Orange striped BMW Performance steering wheel , a BMW Performance rear spoiler, and a custom paint scheme for the engine cover.
