Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua is expected to face charges of irregular procurement after the High Court dismissed his application seeking to block his prosecution over purchase of 16 vehicles.
On Friday, Justice Isaac Lenaola dismissed Dr Mutua’s application for lack of merit.
The governor had moved to court to stop his prosecution over purchase of the vehicles for the county executive committee members.
He is alleged to have flouted procurement laws during the purchase of Subaru Outback vehicles.
