Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Monday arrested a man in connection with the theft of two vehicles stolen from a Nyali yard in 2014.
The suspect, Allan Andayi Osele, who is an accountant at Kericho Law Courts, was arrested after the two vehicles – Toyota V8s – were recovered from his Syokimau home in 2018.
The two vehicles are among five stolen form Nippon Korea Investment Ltd in Nyali in 2014 and have been detained at the Parklands Police Station since they were recovered last year.
According to the DCI, investigations conducted by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) further revealed that the vehicles’ chassis numbers had been changed.

Detectives established that the two vehicles were among 5 vehicles that were stolen from Nyali and their Chassis numbers changed. Further investigations from @ntsa_kenya revealed that the real registered No. Plates were KBW 122H & KBQ 805T whose chassis numbers had been altered. pic.twitter.com/st0goEtRZA
