The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) on Thursday announced that it had taken action on a driver and conductor working for Killeton Sacco who threw out a woman from a moving matatu.

According to a statement seen by Ureport, the driver’s license and the conductor’s badge have been revoked.

“The Class A endorsement (PSV license) for Joseph Muasya Muange ID No. 13713119 and conductor’s badge for John Ndwai Maimbu ID No. 20352870 have been revoked.

“The driver and conductor were presented in court and are currently in police custody,” read the press statement in part.

Further, all 114 vehicles belonging to the Sacco will be subjected to compliance inspection to assess their roadworthiness.

Killeton drivers and conductors will also undergo mandatory road safety and customer care training.

The victim, Florence Wanjiru, succumbed to her injuries last week.

The family had requested relevant authorities to speed up investigations into the matter and ensure those found culpable face the full force of the law.

NTSA condoled with the family of the deceased and urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report incidences of rogue drivers on roads.
