Somalia’s Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab on Saturday claimed responsibility for an attack on a bus and police vehicle near Witu in Lamu county that killed at least five people.
The group told AFP by telephone it was “ready to act or attack anywhere necessary within Kenya” after Friday’s shooting, which left at least five dead, including four police officers.
On Friday night five people were killed after gunmen attacked a Tahmeed bus near Witu in Lamu County. Four among the five killed were policemen.
The driver of the Lamu-bound bus also died as the assailants sprayed bullets on the vehicle during the Friday night incident. AFP & People Digital.
