Frozen Silver 2012 BMW M3 Competition Edition Announced

To mark the 40th anniversary of BMW’s M division, BMW of North America will produce 40 identically-equipped special M3 Coupes for the U.S. market, featuring Frozen Silver Metallica exterior paint, a rare metallic luster highlighting the M3′s athletic contours. The striking exterior also includes black M3 GTS 19-inch Y-spoke wheels with a wider offset for enhanced stability, black hood intakes and Dark Chrome exterior trim on the kidney grills, M side grills and exhaust tips. On the inside the upholstery is finished in Extended Black Novillo leather with Palladium Silver accents, an Alcantara multi-function M steering wheel, carbon-fiber interior trim, with the M3 Checkered Flag and M Power logos featuring throughout.Powered by the 4.0-liter, 414hp M V8, the 2012 M3 Competition Edition is equipped with BMW’s M Double Clutch Transmission, lowering its 0-60mph sprint time from 4.7 to 4.5 seconds. The Competition Package also includes a suspension that lowers the ride height by 10mm, modified programming for the M Dynamic Mode, and Dynamic Damper Control.
