2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster by VATH

VATH Automobiltechnik GmbH wants to ‘give your car wings,’ and with their aftermarket program for the Mercedes-Benz SLK, they do that and more. The tuners from Germany gave the new generation SLK Roadster some big performance upgrades for the two-seater’s range of engines. Starting with the base model, VATH gave the 184hp SLK200 a bump up to 210hp and 229lb-ft of torque for a top speed of 150mph. The 205hp SLK250 gets boosted to 244hp and 266lb-ft of torque for a top speed of 155mph and finally the range-topping V6 (excluding the AMG V8 model) SLK350 is powered up to 330hp and 287lb-ft of torque for a top speed of 167mph. The German’s latest project features a carbon front spoiler, rear spoiler and rear diffuser. Bigger brakes have also been added, along with AMG-ish tailpipes and a new instrument cluster and aluminum sport pedals add to the Mercedes’ luster even more. Finished in black and riding on a lowered suspension, the tuned Benz sits on a set of 20-inch wheels. Pricing has not been announced.
