Rioters Block Section of Thika Road

Motorists plying Thika road going to Zimmerman and the entire Kahawa West area were early Wednesday morning forced to seek alternative routes or abandon their journey altogether, following demonstrations by rioting bodaboda and some matatu operators following the death of one of their own – a matatu conductor under unclear circumstances late Tuesday.
They claim that the conductor was shot by police after he had been arrested.
The rioters have blocked the roads with burning tyres and huge rocks.
