Rolls-Royce’s own personalization department, Rolls-Royce Bespoke, has put together a very special Phantom Coupe for the automaker’s brand manager in Dubai, Mohammed EL-Arishy. Called the Chicane Phantom Coupe, only one example exists and it’s been developed with special touches inspired by the Goodwood Motor Circuit, located near Rolls-Royce’s headquarters in England.
“I wanted to create a motor car that captures the unique atmosphere and history of the Goodwood Motor Circuit,” EL-Arishy explained. “The home of Rolls-Royce’s connection to such an important center of British motoring heritage is something that fascinates my customers.”
So what makes the Chicane Phantom Coupe so special? The regular wood-finished interior has made way for carbon fiber, alluding to the materials used in modern racing machines. The theme is continued to the exterior where the hood and windscreen surround is finished in matte black. The rest of the exterior, meanwhile, is coated in Gunmetal gray. A set of wheels matching the exterior paint finish has also been added; a first for a modern Rolls-Royce.
Truly unique features include a checkered flag motif stitched into the seats, a special coachline for the exterior and a metal plaque expressing the car’s name and the Goodwood track layout located in the glove box.
EL-Arishy hasn’t mentioned if the car has been sold, but these type of special editions don’t last long, especially when it’s a ‘one of one’ affair like the Chicane Phantom Coupe.
