On April 13, 2011, at around 1300 Hours, the Rwanda National Police intercepted a convoy of eight cars that belong to Congo Tobbaco Company (CTC) owned by Tribert Rujugiro.
The cars were impounded along Ruhengeri- Gisenyi road on their way to Goma, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The vehicles, purchased from Akagera Motors, were seized after reliable information indicated that they were intended to logistically support military activities by fugitives - Kayumba/Karegeya and their collaborators operating in Eastern Congo.
The vehicles are currently held at Mukamira police station.Ten people were arrested including eight drivers, a clearing agent and the general manager of CTC. They are currently held at Kicukiro Police Station.
Police is carrying out investigations to ensure those involved are brought to justice.
